Hello my name is Matthew and I have really enjoyed playing this Demo Version of the Dino Crisis: Rebirth (Dino Crisis Remake Fan Game).
Also I hope and pray that there will be a full version of this awesome Fan Game because what has been made so far is spectacular and I would definitely play the full version of this Dino Crisis Remake Fan Game if you ever decided to make a full version of this amazing Fan Remake Game.
Man, I appreciate your work, but there are a lot things to improve. Escentially the play-gaming fisics, the dialogs and the HUD. Another important thing is the inventory for view the items of Regina. It's impossible to view how items and keys we recollect while playing. One finally and possitive thing is you make a really great work on the ambiency, that point is really featured.
The game starts out really smooth, but like after 5 minutes it drops to 30 fps, around 10 minutes it's like 15 fps, anyone know a fix? Or is this just unplayable
Hi, unreal dev here. This is because he is probably either spawning something every so often & it's cluttering the engine, or something intensive is being called on tick.
Is there a fix? For reference I have an rtx 3070, 8core 16thread ryzen CPU, and an SSD, can't charge resolution so I'm assuming it's running 1080p but looks blurry, almost like 720p, do I need a 3090 for this game at 1080p? I'm confused
What I was able to play is interesting, what I liked were the cinematics, unfortunately it has many problems especially in performance, I don't know why the game starts at high fps and suddenly when going from room to room they drop to 25fps, it is uncomfortable to have to use 2 keys to interact the normal is to use a single key the recommended is the E the F is for the flashlight, I don't know why the F key stopped working and I couldn't grab an item anymore, at the beginning in the menu if you press enter fast, the roar of the t rex and the blurring animation of the menu are repeated incessantly, something similar happens when picking up a document when pressing the button, the crosshair of the weapon is almost imperceptible it is very transparent and you can't see it, there is no pause menu, that's what I found since as I mentioned above I couldn't pick up an item since the F key stopped working and I couldn't continue the game, among other things.
Cool game. Got spooked a few times, which was great. I would say the character walk speed could probably use a bit of upping, and then as most people said a graphics option would be nice.
put the option to play with a joystick, put a menu at the beginning of the game so you can configure it by keyboard and mouse, configure it by joystick too, which are the command keys to move, attack, shoot and run, make a Resident Evil 3 nemesis for PlayStation 1 with these graphics too
I just want to say thank you for your amazing work making this remake. You are very talented. I hope you continue this project.and that at some point Capcom looks at this project and is encouraged to make a remake of the game. And about Regina, in my case I would recommend change Regina's face. Her face reminds me of a character from Dead or Alive. I'm not really sure.and it can bring you copyright problems etc. I would recommend that you take note of Regina's face from the original cover. It is true that there are two versions of Regina's face, one that looks Asian and the other more Caucasian, but I like the Asian one better as a recommendation. Good luck with this project.
Yeah talented at stealing assets and making horrible gameplay, there was a huge gap under the password locked door aka the main char could have crawled thru easily but she didn't, also the one in this game isn't Regina but Christie from Dead Or Alive...
change aiming reticle for when the player's back is to a wall
stop the fade-to-black when going through doors, it's not needed anymore. Even the devs didn't want to do it back in the day, but were limited by the tech at the time.
Why don't you shut the fuck up and quit spamming obnoxious hate replies on every single comment here?
If you don't like it, fine, just leave and ignore it. If you hate it, then why bother wasting your time and energy complaining about it nonstop? You got a hate-boner for this game's dev or something? Also acting like a pompous superficial douchebag talking down to everyone who enjoys this game, you're just wasting your time making yourself look like more of an egotistical asshole.
Also FYI this was a fanmade project made by only 1 amateur developer, and while yes it's not perfect by any means, I'd say it's pretty well done for what it is (and especially impressive for a 1-man creation), and it's really not fair to judge him on the same level as Triple-A game studios. He doesn't have all the money, resources or big talented teams that those big multi-billion dollar corporate game companies have, and he's clearly not a top-tier professional, so cut him some slack.
NTM this might be a bit of a hot take, but TBH there's nothing inherently wrong with borrowing premade assets, especially if they're used in a transformative/creative fashion. Like maybe the base for Regina's model was a stock model of Christie from DOA, but at least the dev put in the effort to fully modify/reinvent it into a legit looking Regina, as opposed to just lazily copy & pasting the raw Christie model into the game without making any changes or modifications to it whatsoever, like you're vaguely claiming.
Oh and FYI, this is a non-prophet fanmade passion project that's available for free, he's not "stealing" anything, so please stop spreading slander and trying to make him look bad.
Honestly every word you've vomited out here has been nothing but petty complaints and pathetic hate comments, with not a single ounce of actual constructive criticism whatsoever. You have nothing helpful or beneficial to offer here, so why don't you just get your ass out of here, get off the fucking internet and out of your mom's basement, and go touch some grass ya fuckin' loser!
You clearly have no idea what copyright is, also the model has seams on the arms, he didn't "modify" nor "reinvent" it, you have no clue what you are talking about, also how is saying how things really are me being a "D"? the gameplay is horrible just like the animations and the textures, there's no effort about putting together stolen assets lmao, again you are completely clueless and you also don't know the history of this specific person and how many times he has been banned for stealing stuff, i don't need your useless lecture, you know nothing about me nor about the context here, ah btw, the game is "name your price" aka he can make money out of it, get a clue and refrain yourself from wasting my time next time troll with low standards ;)
Unfortunately the game is crashing on my PC. Simply after the scene where she is working on the computer and receives the message, my monitor goes black and my video card triggers the cooler. E5 2689 Processor RX 590 GPU. But great work with the game!
Awesome remake, enjoyed it a lot! The only problems I had was the shooting was not great because the camera angles when shooting were not great and the voice acting was very high pitch and bad quality but still really good liked it a lot!
The title screen alone is already enough for a lawsuit by Capcom for copyright infringement lol, also the girl isn't Regina, that's Christie from Dead Or Alive (another copyright infringement), unbelievable.
Interesting concept, so far poor exectution. This isn't 1999 with poor technoligical limits and lack of understanding how to properly animate hand motions. No one runs that slow if a dinosaur is coming at them, no one moves their hand that slow to aim a pistol if they want to shoot something, especially not someone with training like this character being portrayed. Aiming leaves a lot to be desired. The compys move as fast as you do and are easily lost in the poor movement animation. Nostalgia is fun, but not at the cost of going backwards in time with poor movement controls and animations. That said, if you were intending to make 1 to 1 copy of a game that was piss poor in its time, you've nailed it so far. I definitely felt the age of the game, having played the original.
Feedback is always nice. But you clearly missed the point out here. You REALLY expect ONE person to do a 20-people job? (Animation-wise). Its clearly a project that 100+ people (or more) would be working on if was made by an actual gaming company.
Dont expect great stuff just yet. When he gets most of the things on the right path, Crapcom will sue or give him copyright infrigment, and then pick up the project themselves.
I would like to see an update allowing use of controllers instead of keyboard and perhaps you should list the controls here for people. Having trouble with it.
This looks really promising but I'm not so sure charging money from someone else's copyrighted material is a good idea. It might just be 1€ but its technically using Capcom's IP to gain traction and drive sales, that's a huge no-no legally speaking
Fantastic but as others have stated you are taking an enormous legal risk by charging for it.
Better move is make it free with an optional donation as this work's so good that many people would donate to support further development.
I have my own shop with a ton of game assets like PBR textures and 3d collections and some 25% of the shop's revenue to date is from donations on the free items or tips on the paid ones. The itch community is actually really generous and if you are a developer making great work people will be appreciative. i've accumulated $54 in tips, donations alone.
I know you do not think tips/donations will be viable but whatever loss of cash you end up with as a result of that choice is far better than what you'd lose by being sued and losing an IP related court case. There are upsides to making it free too as it could easily propel your game (which is one page one already) to the very top of itch.io.
It might be the best possible way to end up with a large audience of excited players.
Hello! This game looks amazing, as a dino nerd, I would really like to play it! I've read your comment about pc specs and I gotta ask....you think a i5 could handle it? i only have a laptop to play it on sadly
Hello friends, I leave you my REEL of this great game, I invite you to my Youtube channel, I want you to subscribe to my channel please, congratulations to Stefano for this game, Stefano greetings!!
I think this might be the Dino Crisis remake I've always dreamed of! IDK if Capcom will ever make an official remake or they'll just continue to ignore the demand for one, but for the time being this is definitely enough to satisfy my craving for a modern Dino Crisis, cause you did an awesome job with this! I just downloaded and played it earlier today, and I don't regret it one bit!

Also Hello from Auckland, New Zealand.
how do you change the settings

Incredible Remake I Really Enjoyed 5/5. Facing FPS Drops While Shooting. (13500f, RTX 3080ti, 32GB RAM)
AWESOME MAN
hey, amazing for a single developer, keep it up! Would really like to know which version of UE are you currently using for this project.
He used UE4, it says so when you load up the gam
Otro éxito del señor cagnani sin duda!! Muchas gracias por crear estas maravillas! Un saludo

Unless he goes in & fixes whatever is causing that particular issue & then submits a new build, no. You can't fix that. It's at engine level.
Oh di dude, i have a Ryzen 3 3200 G with Vega 8, 8 of ram, but no graphic card, would yo say it will run well?

Quite well made, but alas with my 8 year old PC with only its built-in intel graphics driver, the game is running very slowly even in windowed mode.
Perhaps you could implement a graphics setting in the next demo version? Heck, it could even use a setting tab in general.
I know optimization is difficult, so I wont really pester you for it but it'd mean a lot to everyone who couldn't afford a GPU
Good work.
Needs a few things
Other than that, it's a great project.
Hope Capcom hires you.
Yeah hope that Capcom hires someone that steals assets lmao, you people are soo easy to scam lol.
Imagine hating a game only because it's a fangame, absolute corporate bootlicker behaviour.
I actually dislike it also because it's awful, have you even played it? it's not my problem that you have extremely low standards unlike me :D
Why don't you shut the fuck up and quit spamming obnoxious hate replies on every single comment here?

Another AMAZING game!! You NEVER EVER disappoint! Thank you for the awesome remaster aka remake! I loved it!!
i like so much your work with this game! thanks!

Absolutely insane to be this upset about a FREE game, touch grass
Saying how things are isn't "being upset", try to use your brain sometimes ;)
P.S = Here's proof https://www.deviantart.com/sihsengiu/art/Regina-Dino-Crisis-DL-XPS-908021903
Regina has big pointy boobs!! 10/10
Awesome, another attempt at DC! I enjoyed the previous one based on DC2!

The download link isn't working. Anyone else having this issue?
Really nice fan game project. It really brings Dino Crisis into the modern age. I hope you keep this project up and keep up the good work.
Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/@Levont
And can we get an option for the game not to full window?
Pressing F11 will switch to windowed mode.
Thank you.
I would like to see an update allowing use of controllers instead of keyboard and perhaps you should list the controls here for people. Having trouble with it.
Detto ciò continua col lavoro, tanta stima <3
